Talcum Powder and Cancer

Talc is a common ingredient used in many products, the most common of which is baby powder.  Talcum powder (talc) has been shown to be associated with a number of types of cancer.  Most notably, there is an association between the use of talcum powder and ovarian cancer.

There are over 16,000 lawsuits pending against the manufactures of talcum powder products.  Since 2016 there have been a number of large verdicts against these manufactures with several being over $50 million   There was a $4.69 billion dollar verdict in favor of 22 women who developed ovarian cancer after using talcum powder.
